Well done Stu, it did indeed look a DIY job at first. End result much better.

I already have about half the parts needed for a fearful 12/6, will probably not get around to making sawdust until after I have finished school. Looking forward to it.

Love my 1212L. 17kg and sounds huge. :)

I got lucky and got a Walsh built Ffearless 12/6. Superb! Light n loud!

It does have some nice low end and can be coaxed into quite a nice warm sound. Not sure if that has more to do with the massive amount of acoustic wadding, (compared with what it had originally), or the 2x15 configuration.

I have been checking out the Fearless range Tom but I really have the feeling the Zoots are the ones for me.
I have had them longer than any piece of bass kit I own and every time I get something new and think " this is it", I go back to the Zoots and think "no it isn't".
I loved the EAD though and I was truly gutted to have to sell. I think it is the Neo vs Ceramic thing. When Mike built my Zoots I asked for Ceramic drivers to be fitted , (even though the cabs were deigned for neos) and I really think that is the secret to me liking them so much.
The EAD is the only cab with Neo's that I have ever liked but there is something about the ceramic drivers in the Zoot's that really suits me..

Unfortunately I had to move the EAD on when I had a back problem diagnosed. Although it wasn't particularly heavy it wasn't that easy to load in/out and carry when you are trying to protect 2 knackered discs.
I was truly gutted when I had to sell it as it is without a doubt the best cab I have ever owned. I have tried so many other cabs in an attempt to get something close to the EAD sound and nothing comes close.
I do love the sound of the Zoots and being 1x12's they asre so easy to carry around.
